AllSaid

AllSaid records both sides of your calls, transcribes them on the machine, and leaves you one transcript and one summary for the day. Your voice comes from the microphone and the far end from the call app itself — two separate tracks, so “Me” is never guessed.

What it does

• Starts when a call does. Zoom, Teams, a browser tab, something that does not exist yet — when an app opens the microphone, AllSaid starts recording. Apps you block are never recorded.
• Transcribed on the Mac. Speech models run locally between calls, in English or Spanish. Transcripts stay in the language they were spoken in.
• One file for the day. Plain Markdown you can search, diff and paste from, saved wherever you keep notes, with a typeset PDF of the summary beside it.

The summary

At a time you choose, the day is turned into a summary — by default with Apple’s on-device model. It opens with every commitment made across the day, attributed to whoever made it and to the meeting it came from.

A commitment put against the wrong person is worse than one put against nobody, so when a name and the meeting disagree, the name is dropped and the action kept.

Private by default

• Audio kept: 0 days. The default. Audio is deleted the moment its transcript is saved. You can keep it for up to 7 days; audio that failed to transcribe is kept 14 days so the meeting is not lost.
• About 45 MB while you work. The menu-bar app loads no speech model; transcription runs in a separate process that exits when it is done.
• Cloud is opt-in. You can choose an online summariser. If you do, transcripts are sent to that provider — and the app says so plainly.

Before you record

The other people on the call get no warning. Not from macOS, not from AllSaid. Capturing a call app’s audio does not light the orange microphone indicator for anyone else, and nothing on their screen changes.

In many countries and US states, recording a conversation without everyone’s consent is illegal — sometimes a criminal offence. Say it at the start of every call, get a clear yes, and stop if anyone objects. That part is yours to do, every time.

Availability

AllSaid is a personal, non-commercial project built for its author’s own working day. There is no public release, no installer and no support. Nothing here is legal advice: anyone who records a conversation is responsible for complying with the laws that apply to them and to every other participant, including consent and data-protection law.
